We've waited a long time for a collaboration like this. Elevate your space with a true work of art. Introducing our limited edition Artisan Candle Bowl, in collaboration with THICCeramics.

Each piece has been individually hand-thrown by local artisan ceramicist, Hugh. You can't get much more local, Hugh throws, fires, glazes and fires again just 750m from where we are based.

The design of each piece is similar, but by nature of hand-made, they are also totally unique. Explore the exquisite textures and vibrant hues that THICC are known for, transformed into stunningly beautiful, hand-poured candles.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT HUGH
Hugh got started much like we did, between lock downs in 2020. Browse his Instagram and you might notice he calls himself a wannabe ceramicist, although I think you'll agree he's quite a fine ceramicist!

When we asked what he loves about the process, Hugh told us:
The visceral texture and mandatory focus and presence that wheel throwing requires is what got me so into it. You can't be doing anything but this, and so much of it becomes intuitive. The risk, chance, serendipity, tactility make working with clay a joy.

Hugh loves classic forms that are then juxtaposed by really lively/messy glaze applications. He wants the work to feel messy and playful in contrast to the materials inherent strength and timeless legacy. Hugh can be contacted by Instagram DM if you would like to purchase any of his other works.

BEFORE YOU PURCHASE
This product is intended to be used as a beautiful, functional and sustainable candle in your home, rather than a forever decoration that is never burned. Because our candles are made from 100% natural soy, free from chemical additives commonly used to extend shelf life, we recommend burning your candle within 12 months of purchase. 

After burning your candle, the vessel can be either refilled by us, or cleaned thoroughly and used as an eye-catching ceramic in your home.

Refills are available for $99 each. Contact us via DM or email to arrange this. If you return your bowl to us by courier or post, kindly note that we cannot be responsible for breakage. For the safest transit, securely package your bowl with ample, tightly packed padding material to prevent movement within the box.
