Our clearance/imperfect stock consists of items that have visual imperfections.

Frosting
It is normal that over time, 100% natural soy wax develops crystallisation (also known as frosting). Fluctuations in ambient temperature and the resulting expansion and contraction of the wax causes this.

Note that this does not affect the burn performance or scent of the candle, it is purely a visual imperfection and you can be confident in what you are purchasing.

If you are gifting, you may prefer to look at our regular stock, but for everyday personal burning these are a great value option that helps us reduce sending anything to landfill.

Imperfect candles - back to the perfect for me!

After an initial 3hr burn, these candles developed a strong "burning wick" aroma which unfortunately overpowered the candle scent. I love these candles, but will just purchase the perfect ones now.

That sounds unusual Linda. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. I’ll reach out to you directly to get some more information to hopefully diagnose what’s happened here, as our imperfect stock should still smell amazing. Love to be able to fix this for you.
